Ofsted

Dear parents and carers,

I am delighted to be able to share with you the final Ofsted report from our recent inspection, during the 6-7th of February. The inspection process was rigours and extensive: it involved a range of intensive meetings with myself, the CEO and primary director of the trust, the staff, Academy Council and parents. It included detailed exploration of our schools’ policies and procedures, as well as observations of our school community in lessons and around the school. It also involved deep inspection of all subjects across the curriculum through meetings with subject leaders, book scrutiny, lesson observation and meetings with pupils.

I am extremely proud to inform you that we have been judged to be an ‘Outstanding’ school in every category.

This report is a wonderful recognition of the journey of improvement the school has been on since we were deemed to be ‘Good’ in our last graded inspection. I am delighted that the hard work, dedication and commitment of our incredible staff and the invaluable support of our trust has been recognised in this report, which I feel is a true reflection of our phenomenal school community: it recognises The Meadows to be ‘an exceptional school where pupils flourish both in their learning and socially.’ It recognises that our bespoke curriculum is ‘rich and ambitious’ ensuring that ‘pupils develop detailed knowledge and understanding over time in all subjects’. I am also incredibly proud of the recognition that our school’s motto of ‘learning by caring and sharing’ is ‘lived and breathed’.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and carers for taking the time to fill in the online survey, and for your continued support. I was overwhelmed by the positive feedback received and by the thoughtful and poignant comments you made. This report reflects the strong relationships we have all fostered, and our commitment to working in partnership together because we know that this will have the biggest impact on the lives of our wonderful pupils.

Finally, I would like to share my pride in our amazing pupils and their excellent attitudes to their learning. They are passionate, articulate and reflective about their learning and about supporting one another. During the inspection, the lead inspector articulated his amazement about how confidently they spoke about our school and how it is preparing them for later life. He stated that they were ‘mind blowing’! This wasn’t a surprise to me – I see this each and every day.

This is a fantastic achievement for everyone in our school and the entire Meadows family. I  hope that you will join us in celebrating this great success and spreading the word to the entire community just how amazing our school is and how exceptional its children and staff are.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Kuffour
