Biscuits in Reception

We had a fantastic day in reception on Friday. The children loved rolling biscuit dough and cutting out Christmas shapes. They were excellent at decorating their biscuits using piping icing. It looked like it had been snowing in the classroom as there was flour and icing sugar everywhere! Thank you to all of the parents who came to our open afternoon. For those parents who were unable to make it, please enjoy looking at our photographs.

Railway Children Charity

As part of our work with the Railway Children charity, we have been thinking about what we would like to be when we grow up. We discussed different occupations, watched a video about a boy who dreamed about working with animals and tried on outfits. Please enjoy looking at our photographs. We look forward to seeing what the children come dressed as on Friday.

Open Afternoon

Reception children have brought home an invitation today. Mellors are coming into school on Friday morning to bake. The children would like to invite parents into our class to share our Christmas treats. So get into the festive spirit and come along on Friday 4th December from 2o'clock.

Poppy Day

Last Wednesday Class1 wore poppies and joined in a minute silence at 11.00 to remember the soldiers who fought in the war and who help us.

They were eager to answer questions about their favourite school dinners and willing to try new food. Danielle was very impressed that the children enjoy healthy food throughout the school day and were knowledgeable about healthy eating

Fun In The Mud Kitchen

We had lots of fun on Friday afternoon in our new mud kitchen. We made mud pies, soup and sauce from natural autumn materials! With a little help we wrote menus. We also sorted and counted our ingredients.
