Welcome to Class 4 Sep 2015

I hope you are all enjoying the final few days of your holiday! I'm sure you have all enjoyed such a long holiday, as have I. However, I am looking forward to welcoming you back into class next Tuesday.

In order to be prepared, please ensure that you bring into school your new resources (as previously stated in the letter sent out in July). I look forward to receiving the Y5 Summer projects on Tuesday. You do not require your PE kit until Friday therefore please leave it at home.

A Pupil Review of Sports Day at The Meadows

Sports Day at the Meadows

On Thursday the 25th of June, the Meadows held their Sports Day at Keele University and invited everyone to watch. Every year group had an overall winner (first, second and third) and also a first, second and third for each race or competition. Mrs Kuffour, Mrs Procter and Mr Skellern did an amazing job of running the afternoon. Mrs Heath was also very helpful - she brought water and gave the children some fruit.

Cl4 Performance of The Wizard of Oz

Over the past few months, Class 4 have worked exceptionally to learn their lines, create choreography for dances, produce props and to rehearse their play 'The Wizard of Oz'. Many children have even come to extra rehearsals after school, showing great commitment.

On Friday they finally performed in front of their parents, families and friends and their hard work certainly paid off. They were fantastic! Not only did the play go with very few hitches, the children even demonstrated skills such as improvisation!

Drayton Manor Trip

Just a reminder that we will depart at 8am therefore please ensure that your child is at school for 7.50am. They will require:
A packed lunch
2 drinks
A waterproof jacket

No spending money is required.
Many thanks,
Mrs Kuffour

Anti-bullying Week

Last week we learnt about bullying. In assemblies, we have learnt different ways in which people can be bullied and how to prevent it. We have taken home an anti-bullying policy that everyone should have read.
