The NSPCC has released a guide for parent on how to keep your child safe online. The aim of the guide is to make parents 'Share Aware' (understanding what information is safe to share online). The guide is separated into four sections:
- Talk to your child
- Get the family involved
- Safety starts with you
- If things go wrong
We always encourage the children to be vocal about any problems they encounter online. Opening the lines of communication is the key message from this brochure and it offers some good conversation starters if you are struggling to discuss these issues with your child. You can download a copy of the brochure here and can also find it in the Online Safety section of the website. If you have any questions or queries regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff.
