Anderson Shelters Cl4

In D&T this half term, we have been researching, designing and creating our own Anderson Shelter models. As designers, we discussed the importance of:

  • Taking inspiration from design throughout history.
  • Designing, making, evaluating and improving our products.
  • Mastering practical skills in construction.

We began by exploring what Anderson Shelters were - their purpose and structure. We compared multiple examples of Anderson shelters in order to identify key design features. We then created our own designs, taking into consideration the common features we had observed. 

This week we have constructed our own Anderson Shelters, focusing on accuracy and precision.
